What (exactly) is a function? How can we make a rough sketch of a function? Sometimes drawing a curve shows us a lot about the physics (and maths) of a situation. This session includes practice on curve sketching and basic differentiation of polynomials, logarithms, exponentials and trigonometric functions. Most of the material in this workshop should be familiar to you. However, experience suggests that for many in the class a reminder of the ideas will prove useful, therefore we also included the Calculus Refresher from MathCentre.
