John Fife was noted as a Scottish burgess of Gothenburg from 25 November 1624. He formed part of a group of Scots including Thomas Stewart [SSNE 4836], John Maclean [SSNE 1631], Alexander Murray [SSNE 7184], John [SSNE 4685] and James Lindsay [SSNE 4838], Anthony Kennedy [SSNE 6959], John Young [SSNE 4689], John Carnegie [SSNE 4832], John Spalding [SSNE 4677] and George Ogilvie [SSNE 4837]. He may have had some connection with the Stockholm Feifs.
