Text source
John Lindsay was a burgess of Gothenburg noted amongst its citizens in 1639, where his occupation was given as small-trader. He appears to have freighted goods to Stockholm in 1651. Hans Lindsay was the brother to another Scottish burgess of Nylöse/Gothenburg, James Lindsay [SSNE 4838]. He may also have been a relative of the Stockholm burgess, William Lindsay [SSNE 802]E.
