Two Staff Win Teaching Awards

School of Mathematics and Statistics lecturer Dr Finn Smith was awarded one of the University’s five Teaching Excellence Awards for the academic session 2023-24. In making the award to Finn, the Proctor commented “The judging panel was impressed by the breadth of commitment in your teaching, your dedication to student development, and your collegiality, and recognised you as a pioneer in digital accessibility and innovative teaching.”

Dr Chris Sutherland, Reader in Statistics, received a Teaching Award for Outstanding Innovation in Teaching, based on nominations by students.
