Jacob Henricus Forbes was probably the son of Jacob Forbes [SSNE 779], eldest son of Henry Forbes of Thainstone who died in 1656 and Lilleram Chesnecopherus. If so he was one of the twins Jacob and Henrik [SSNE 2235]. Jacob matriculated at Uppsala university in 1654 and was later recorded as a merchant. He had several dealings with the Momma-Reenstierna family in the 1660s. As well as Henrik, Jacob had several other siblings including Peter [SSNE 6343], Olof [SSNE 2251], Johan [SSNE 2246] and Nils [SSNE 2250]. They also had at least four sisters.
