Welcome to our website! On this site we post all of the events that we host throughout the year. These events include physics lectures, quizzes and movies.
We have also started a podcast where we interview academics from the University about their lives outside of academica. Find out more here. You can also find us on iTunes, YouTube and may other podcasting platforms.
Not only are our events fun and a welcomed break from your studies they are also an excellent opportunity to network with other students, both undergraduates and postgraduates, building friendships that will last beyond St Andrews.

About PhySoc
PhySoc, the University of St Andrews Physics Society, was formed to promote the understanding and enjoyment of physics. We achieve this through our wide range of events and with the strong community of PhySoc members and also students and staff from the school of physics and astronomy.

PhySoc recommends our members to join the Institute of Physics.
Membership makes you part of a wider community of physicists and gives you a respected sign of professionalism and commitment to physics. Share your passion for physics with others and make use of their wide range of career related publications and events.
Membership is only £15 per year and includes access to their monthly flagship magazine, Physics World. You will also be able to book tickets for their student conferences and trips as well as save money on cinema tickets, books, NUS card and travel.
