Freshers' Week 2019
Freshers' week (Orientation week) is happening from Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th of September. PhySoc will be hosting lots of exciting physics related events throughout the week.
PhySoc is a friendly community of physics enthusiasts. Our events are a great way to settle into university life here in St Andrews. You will get to know lots of fascinating new people through our society. Who knows? You may even find your academic parents! All of our events are open to everyone regardless of what you study and what year you are in.
This year we are kicking off freshers' week with our annual physics breakfasts! These are held on Tuesday and Wednesday of freshers' week in the physics building. They are a great opportunity to meet friends on your course and to get advice off older students. (We can also give you directions to your advisors office!)
Also join us later in the week for the science societies pubcrawl where you will be introduced to the various pubs of st andrews. This is also a great chance to find some academic parents/children! For more detaills check out our events page or our Facebook.
If you enjoy our Freshers' week events you can join PhySoc to access all of the events and opportunities that we have on offer. You can join right now! Here! Or wait and join at any of our events throughout the year. We will of course also be at the freshers' fayre on Sunday.
To stay up to date with what we are planning us on Facebook.
Please also check out our new podcast, insight. We interview some of your future lecturers and tutors discovering their passions, inspirations and motivations.
If you have any questions please send us a message through our Facebook page or email us at physoc@st-andrews.ac.uk. We can't wait to meet everyone!
