University night bus

All staff and students of the University of St Andrews can use the free University night bus. You must show your staff or student ID card to the driver.

The St Andrews town bus goes from the main University Library around St Andrews, returning to the main Library.

Passengers who behave antisocially may be refused entry to the bus and will be referred by the driver to the University’s Security and Response team.

You cannot take food or drink on the bus. Please be aware that a bus may have to be cancelled at short notice.

Stagecoach late evening service

Local bus company, Stagecoach, provides a late evening service during the week during term time. The service is complimentary for students and staff with a University ID card. The service includes a late return journey to St Andrews from Dundee.

The subsidised weekday service will stop for the winter break in the early hours of Friday 15 December 2023. Please see the Stagecoach festive timetable for any changes over this period.

The subsidised service will resume on Monday 15 January 2024 and stop in the early hours of Friday 17 May 2024.

There will be no service running during the February vacation, from Sunday 25 February to Sunday 3 March 2024.
