Adam Etison wins teaching award.

Dr Adam Etison, Senior Lecturer in Philosophy, has won the 2022 St Andrews Students' Association award for Outstanding Innovation in Teaching. This award celebrates Adam's creative approach to the module 'First Contact' in terms of structure, teaching style, or content. The module received extensive praise for its innovative and interdisciplinary approach to the issues raised by '"first encounters," for example with alien phenomena, life-forms, persons, experiences, and ways of thought,' with students reporting that they found this module relevant to their everyday lives.
