Your iPhone needs to be wiped and temporarily blocked to prevent data breaches.
First, block your device
Email itservicedesk@st-andrews.ac.uk so we can disconnect the device from email updates and block it.
This block can be lifted by IT Services if you find the device.
Then, wipe your device
IT Services can do this when blocking your device or you can do this yourself. Let us know what you'd prefer when you report your device missing.
To do this yourself:
- Log in to iCloud and find devices
- Select All Devices, and choose your iPhone from the list
- Erase iPhone.
You can also set your phone to Lost Mode.
If your phone is stolen
Report the theft to the local police station.
If you find your phone
Email mobiles@st-andrews.ac.uk so the blocks can be lifted.
