BROG, WILLIAM [SSNE 8020]

Captain William Brog (not to be confused with Colonel Sir William Brog [SSNE 7842]) was an officer in the Scots-Dutch Brigade c. 1626-1636. He succeeded his captain, Philip Mowbray [SSNE 8021], on 3 February 1626. He was dead by 11 April 1635 and was replaced by Captain Alexander Bruce. Captain Brog was married to one Ida Geevers, who remarried in 1638 after his decease.
