LOUFF, JEMS [SSNE 7922]

Jems Louff was a a Scottish soldier in Rotterdam in 1648. He was employed by skipper Cornelis Leenderstsz Blau on the ship Seelandia, along with fellow Scot, Jacob Heij [SSNE 7923], on which Louff intended to sail to the East Indies. In his will, he left 80 guilders to his cousin (another Scot), Aert Jansz (Arthur Johnson). He further named Jansz and his wife, Janneken Willemsdr, his heirs.
