William Young was a Gothenburg-based merchant whose name appeared on the Gothenburg shipping lists between 1649-1661. He undertook trade from that port with Amsterdam in 1649, 1652, 1660 and 1661; with Danzig in 1650; and with Hamburg in 1655 and 1656. He may have been related to John Young [SSNE 4689] and Alexander [SSNE 7164]
