LINDSAY (married MUSCHAMP, HELEN [SSNE 6328]
Text source
Elin Lindsay was a Scot. She married Thomas Muschamp [SSNE 3168], who was born in England in 1580. Despite his English origins he was consistently associated with the Scots in Swedish service. They had two daughters, Margareta [SSNE 6327] and Isabella [SSNE 6329], who inherited their father's land. Elin had a grandchild called John Hytthon [SSNE 6330] whose parents were called Samuel Hytthon and Helena Swenborn. John had been born in Berwick and his mother's name suggests that Elin Lindsay had been married before she married Thomas Muschamp to a Swede called Swenborn. Elin summoned John to Sweden in 1632 where he became a merchant and councillor in Norrkoping. Hytthon married Malin Olufsdotter in 1645. Their son Samuel was born on 21 September 1664 and was ennobled in 1717 with the name of Lindsfeldt.
Elin is mentioned in correspondence regarding her daughters' inheritance: Riksarkivets ämnessamlingar. Personhistoria https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/A0069911_00302#?c=&m=&s=&cv=301&xywh=3803%2C1741%2C2228%2C1284
