HAJOCK, DAVID [SSNE 4153]
Text source
There were perhaps two David Haijocks in Sweden at the same time. One served as a councillor in Kalmar in the 1670s. The second was in British and then in Swedish naval service between 1681-1699, however, they may have been the same man. His son and his brother were both named Alexander. There was a Scottish burgess in Jonkopping called Alexander [SSNE 3024] and a naval captain, William Haijock [SSNE 4154]. Councillor David Haijock was the father of Margaretha Haijock [SSNE 6361] and was involved in a supplication regarding the confiscation of 101 tuns of salt in 1675. He was married to Brita Möllenbruch.
