Lt William (Wilhelm) Douglies was a Scottish officer in Swedish service. He was noted as a lieutenant in Nykoping in January 1660. He later served as a reformed lieutenant in the Kalmar regiment, where his position was confirmed in 1665. In 1676 he was captain with the artillery, and by 1679 became major. Douglies died in 1697. He may have been the father of Johan Vilhelm [SSNE 2385].
