University of St Andrews Staff 101/8 (20 overs) lost to Dollar 142/2 (20 overs) by 41 runs

St Andrews lost an enjoyable friendly to Dollar as their batting power put too many runs on the board.
After an early wicket for Angus, the 2nd wicket partnership for Dollar ticked the scoreboard along
with the occasional big hit to liven proceedings. Al proved particularly unlucky in his spell with a
number of false shots not going quite to hand. Buchanan-Smith reached 50 before retiring hurt, whilst
James took a wicket 1st ball to remove the other �50� maker, Al completing the stumping having taking
over the �keeping duties. Some tight bowling towards the end of the innings left StAUSCC chasing 143
to win, with ground fielding very tidy throughout.
In response, the top order was unable to set a good base for the chase as we slipped to 4-3 and 17-4
� Angus resolutely clinging on whilst wickets fell around him. Lewis provided an ally to Angus as they
put on 24 together before Stefan came in to entertain the crowds in a boundary laden innings. Angus
fell for 33 after another partnership of 24, but Stefan�s rampage continued as he peppered the leg-side
boundary, showing some excellent timing as he hit seven �4s�. The dream of a maiden 50 was cruelly ended
as fell with 7 balls remaining for a superb 39. Steve and Dom ensured that the total managed to reach 100
with a decent last over, but the Dollar total was never in threat.
