University of St Andrews Staff 93-3 (20 Overs) beat Rossie Priory 86-7 (20 Overs) by 7 Runs

Another fine win for us last night, at Rossie Priory. A damp, muddy pitch and tight bowling from Rossie ensured we got off to a slow and uncertain start until Ben Reiss cut loose on the change bowling, making 45 n.o., backed up by contributions from Stan and a late flourish from Paul Smith who ran hard to force some erratic fielding towards the end. A score of 93 was a considerable improvement on earlier predictions and gave a glimmer of hope for the bowlers, particularly once Angus had removed one opener with a rasping bouncer. Rossie were completely undone, however, by a burst of 3 wickets for 5 runs from Uday, exposing the middle order for Stan to trundle through. Ben and Dave kept things tight from the other end and despite a few lusty blows from their captain, the required 16 from the last over did not materialise. A satisfying win, with contributions from everyone in the field, including Keith's shins :).
