StAUSCC (116 for 9, B. Gordon 40, B.Reiss 6/13) lost to Uni. 3rd XI (117 for 3, A. John 37*, T. James 1/14) by 7 wickets A pleasant if chilly encounter with the student team last night, improving our score on last week to 103-9 but proving unable to stop the 3rd XI from overhauling that in the penultimate over. Strong batting from Bev and Uday (on debut) got us up to a decent target but limited batting from the tail and some rusty bowling and fielding prevented us from building on a tight opening spell from Tim and Baggers.
