St AUSCC (86 all out, D. Bransden 34) lost to Dollar (89 for 4, A. Dick 2/8) by 6 wickets The second game of the season against Dollar saw rain reduce the game to a 25 over aside match. Winning the toss and opting to bat on a drying wicket things got off to a bad start when Andy Dick was removed in the second over with the score on 4. Captain Tom and vice Dom proceeded to rebuild the innings putting on a 53 run partnership until Tom was bowled yorking himself trying to get accelerate the scoring for 20. Things then went very bad with the next 7 wickets falling for just 29 runs. With only 10 men this closed the St Andrews innings with the game looking beyond us. However tight opening bowling from Andy and Angus removed the top 3 batsmen each in single figures aided by good catches from Tom and Dom. However this brought the big hitting Glasgow to the crease whose 53 not out, including 5 sixes, closed the game out for Dollar in spite of them losing one more wicket. Not exactly our best performance of the season with the pre match pub vist waiting for the rain to stop probably the highlight for most on the St Andrews side.
