In quite stunning summer weather and in beautiful surroundings we defeated Rossie Priory last night as an excellent bowling performance allowed us to coast home by 8 wickets. Accurate bowling taking advantage of the big slope on the pitch reduced their top order to tatters and some excellent fielding made us look half decent. Good catches from Stan, Baggers, Padders and Mike (eventually) were backed up with a direct hit run out by Vit, making his long awaited return to fitness. The target of 92 wasn't straightforward on a bouncy, slow pitch but once the openers had made it through the main bowlers, Stan and Vikram were able to come in and make merry against the change bowling.
