St. Andrews 103-6, Dunfermline 104-4. Dunfermline won by 6 wickets. St. Andrews batted first after losign the toss, and got off to a good start, with Mike again looking in superb form. Sean, Mike and Tom all fell in quick succession, but Stu came in and batted well with Ivan, Eric and Angus to top score with 38 not out. Angus and David opened the bowling and kept things fairly tight early on, with Angus trapping Campbell LBW and bowling the other opener, Ferguson, with one that jagged back to hit the top of leg stump. Eric replaced David and bowled an accurate line, inducing several false strokes and misses from both batsmen, and was unlucky to finish wicketless. Alex bowled Arfat with a quicker ball at the other end, and Alex and Eric combined to run out Humphries, but Rai and new batsman Shariff were in no mood to hang around, and sealed Dunfermline's victory in the 16th over. Despite a good St. Andrews performance in all three disciplines, 103 was not enough runs to overcome a strong Dunfermline XI, so St. Andrews challenge in the Fife Cup is over for another year.
