Harnessing storms on a chip: unexpected application of chaotic microresonators
Presenter: Andrea Di Falco
Accessible to all students
In this talk I will review our recent results on the physics and applications of chaotic resonators. In particular, I will show theoretically and experimentally how carefully designed Photonic Crystal resonators can be used for on chip energy harvesting applications, the generation of linear rare and extreme events and the demonstration of fundamental theories, like the onset of superradiance in quantum systems.
