Well, well. Not bad at all. Almost everyone saw the solutions - though a few tricks were missed - so marks are being lost mainly on elegance of proof and conciseness of expression. Some of you write too little, raising the suspicion that you are blurring over an inference becase you can't in fact prove it. And some of you write too much, raising the suspicion that you don't know when you've actually proved something. Remember that the order of discovery may well not be the same as the order of explanation. The line of thought which leads you to the answer may be a roundabout one. So once you have a solution, seek for a faster way of getting here.
Unless I have made a mistake, there are six of you. Nice names. But it crosses my mind that with so many entrants compressed into so few teams, the teams must be unwieldy, and the logistics at your end must be a nightmare. It also crosses my mind that with teams of this size, the individual's share of any prizes will be rather small. So some teams might care to split, and form descendant teams, each inheriting the marks so far.
I had intended to return marked scripts at today's Tuesday Lecture, but what with the kerfuffle over Audio I quite forgot. Accordingly, your scripts will be retrievable from Balliol Lodge. They will be in an envelope marked "Logic League" in the possession of the Porters.
R2D2 could perhaps do with some help. Logiathan have the top spot for now. But most of you are very close behind, and everybody is within striking distance should the others slip. Which can happen so easily. Abiguiteam need to pull their socks up on both their logic and their presentation. Herewith the standings:-
