The JAVA applet that powers these simulations on linear superpositions of waves was written at Davidson College, as one of many excellent "Physlets".
The additional programming needed to simulate pulse and wave motion was carried out by Dr Aly Gillies at the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of St Andrews, with input from me as the course instructor.
