There are also a number of hotels and accommodation options outside of St Andrews that are within a short drive of the town. During busy times of year, such as graduation and the start of orientation week, staying outside of St Andrews is often recommended due to the high number of visitors. Towns such as Cupar, Leuchars, Glenrothes and Ladybank, as well as nearby Dundee are easily accessible from St Andrews and have large numbers of accommodation options.
