Module description

Entrepreneurial Mindset: From Design Thinking to New Venture Development draws on the principles of design thinking to support students in developing a business idea. Students taking the module will be supported to identify, define and develop an entrepreneurial response to grand challenges that shape contemporary society. Through the module students will engage with the entrepreneurial mindset, from thinking creatively, developing a tolerance of failure, and working collaboratively to develop viable business models for new venture creation. In the second part of the module, students will apply the key facets of business planning including identifying business opportunities, undertaking market research, strategic analyses and pitching ideas, while also considering the social benefits of entrepreneurship.
