Module description

The last few decades have witnessed a surge of research on social cognition, both in humans and in an increasingly wide range of non-human animal species. This module goes into depth about a current hot topic in social cognition (e.g. joint attention and joint action, or social learning and culture), surveying the principal discoveries, and integrating research on humans and field and captive studies of animals, using both observational and experimental methods.
