The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

This module provides students with the opportunity to undertake an in-depth investigation into issues within the field of business and finance. Preparation for the dissertation including sessions on accessing and utilising academic literature, training in methodology, workshops on topic development and a session on ethical considerations for research will be provided to students in semesters 1 and 2. Supervision of the dissertation is also provided.
