The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. Module description

This module enables students to enhance the analysis and presentation of literary texts with advanced digital and computational techniques. These will be taught with a critical and hands-on approach, combining theoretical readings with case studies, and covering topics such as the evolution of books and digital publishing, mark-up languages, comparative analysis of close and distant reading strategies, literary mapping, social network analysis, and text visualisation.

Weekly contact

There will be a weekly 1-hour Q&A session that will be based on students' submitted questions and it will be recorded and made available online for students that cannot attend the sessions synchronously.

  • Develop a critical approach to digital technologies in the field of reading and publishing.
