The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. This module is available to students who wish to undertake this as a 15-credit stand-alone module or to those undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Health Professions Education. Module description

This module will focus on exploring the design, delivery and assessment associated with interprofessional education. Students will have the opportunity to critically examine the in-depth evidence base for interprofessional education and the module content and learning experiences will enhance students’ awareness of the enablers and barriers to implementing and assessing interprofessional education in a variety of learning contexts. This module will be fully online with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Live synchronous teaching will be scheduled in GMT. Participants must have access to a device with internet connection, webcam, and a microphone.

Weekly contact

The module will comprise approximately 2 hours synchronous teaching delivered fortnightly where attendance will be required. Participation is also required for any scheduled group work.

  • By the end of this module students will be able to construct an evidence-based plan related to the design, delivery and assessment of interprofessional education.
