Module description
This module will build on the skills, strategies and language introduced and developed in Research and Writing in Humanities and Science 1. Working with a range of source material based on common themes across the humanities and sciences, there will be a focus on building critical reading skills. Students will also be guided in the formation of a subject-based and level-appropriate research question or hypothesis and advised on an appropriate approach towards addressing the chosen question/hypothesis. They will be supported in the process of undertaking preliminary reading and research, in turn further developing skills in essay writing and exam writing. Peer evaluation will be encouraged through in-class activities as well as collaborative reading and preparation tasks.
