The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

This module is designed to provide intensive language study for students who have completed the first level beginners/near beginners modules GM1003 and GM1004. It aims to develop language competence through written and spoken language classes, with reading and oral and written discussion of texts, writing exercises, including essays and letters, practice in speaking and listening, and revision of aspects of grammar.
