Module description

This module situates and interrogates the discipline of Comparative Literature, exploring a range of theories, practices, and ways of reading which complement those covered in CO3001. Key areas will be drawn from structuralism, semiotics, post-structuralism, hermeneutics, New Historicism, Queer theory, and eco-criticism. Students will be encouraged to engage with a range of theoretical and critical frameworks and formulate their own disciplinary definitions and approaches.
