Module description
Antibiotic research is a fast-paced field of undeniable global importance. This module will focus on new and emerging advances, technologies, and areas within this diverse field, including cutting-edge approaches to antibiotic discovery and design; the emerging bacterial phenomena of antibiotic tolerance and persistence; the role of antibiotic stewardship and public health in tackling antibiotic resistance; and alternative strategies for the treatment of bacterial infections. Throughout, topics will be presented and discussed in relation to their clinical significance and application to clinical case studies.
