Entrepreneurship and enterprise
We are dedicated to empowering all students to nurture their creative ideas, to develop an enterprising mindset, and supporting you in starting something new. As part of the ‘Entrepreneurial St Andrews’ strand of the University’s strategy, we work with colleagues across Schools, the Students’ Association, the Careers Centre, CEED, and student societies to create new opportunities for embedding entrepreneurship across a range of curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Our vision of ‘Entrepreneurial St Andrews’ is one that supports the entire student community; not just students interested in entrepreneurship.
Being entrepreneurial and enterprising at St Andrews can take many forms; from starting a new initiative that improves teaching and learning within your school, to establishing a new student society, attending our Entrepreneurial Speaker Series talks, or enrolling in a Vertically Integrated Project for a semester. We provide a range of training, mentorship and support for students interested in starting their own ventures; from the first steps of establishing your enterprise, testing your ideas/product in the marketplace, introducing you to networks and mentors, and training in pitching and securing funding.
Whatever your idea, we are here to support you. Below are some ways you can get involved and proactively cultivate an enterprising mindset.
