Media
There are plenty of opportunities to be involved in media at the University of St Andrews, whether you would rather be in front of the microphone or behind the scenes.
Radio
STAR (or St Andrews Radio) broadcasts all hours online. With dozens of presenters and shows on each night, the station has had listeners as far away as Argentina and the Cape Verde Islands and acts as a training vehicle for future media stars.
Journalism
The University is also home to a fortnightly newspaper, The Saint. The paper is run independently from the Students' Association, has won many national awards, and is considered to be one of the best student publications in the UK.
There is also a variety of other student publications for students interested in journalism, photography or any related discipline.
Design
The Students' Association also oversees the Design Team, a group of students whom any student can hire to help with the design for any project. The Design Team also runs workshops and training sessions for students who want to learn more about design and photography.
Events
For students interested in putting on events, the Ents Crew are the team behind almost all events at the Students' Association. From setting up the weekly Bop to rigging lights for theatre performances, the Ents Crew power the Union.
