Fees and funding
The tuition fees for all students on the BA (International Honours) are the same regardless of where you live.
If you begin your studies at the University of St Andrews, you will pay your tuition each year to St Andrews, regardless of where you are studying for any given year.

Living costs
Tuition fees cover tuition only and do not cover:
- accommodation
- travel
- books and printing
- fines and other penalty fees
- use of the sports centre
- personal expenses
- special instructional fees (for example, evening language courses)

Scholarships and funding
The BA International Honours is a unique programme and students are not eligible for tuition fee funding, loans or maintenance loans from either the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) or the Student Loans Company (SLC).
BA International Honours Scholarship: Scholarship for Excellence
The BA International Honours Scholarship is available to students entering the first year of a BA International Honours programme at St Andrews. The scholarship contributes $6,000 (USD) or $12,000 (USD) towards tuition fees every year.
USA students
Students from the USA are not eligible for federal funding but can apply for a private loan through Sallie Mae.
The BA International Honours programme is not eligible for Veteran Affairs funding through the GI Bill®.
