Freshman semester or year abroad

The University of St Andrews is delighted to offer high school graduates the opportunity to study at St Andrews for their freshman semester or freshman year. Applicants may already hold a place at a North American college or university, and a study abroad experience at St Andrews would help galvanise their academic career, often transferring full credits back to their home institution.

If you wish to apply for this programme please complete our direct application form and select the option to apply for either one year or one semester (Fall Semester) in the ‘Course Type’ field. The entry criterion for this programme is the same as for our four-year degree programmes in that all applications are reviewed holistically.
