Student Feedback Incentives Fund

The Student Feedback Incentives Fund supports professional service units to gather feedback through activities such as focus groups and surveys. The aim should be to enhance the services they provide to the student community, with a focus on creating a culture of inclusivity.

Uses of the fund could include:

  • prize draws
  • food for in-person feedback events
  • vouchers for focus group participation.

Applications may be informed by any of the University strategic themes, but should clearly indicate how the feedback activity will lead to enhancements in the student experience.

Applications must make reference to the Student Feedback Incentives Fund Options (Word) and should also consider the Student Feedback Incentives Fund Good Practice Guide (Word) developed with the Students' Association. 

Value of award (per year)

The fund has a maximum annual value of £2,500. Individual applications should be for no more than £500.

Terms and conditions

The fund is open to current staff in professional service units. It is not available to academic Schools.

Units given funds must follow the Student Feedback Incentives Fund Options (Word) and should use the Student Feedback Incentives Fund Good Practice Guide (Word).

When the feedback activity is finished, the unit must submit a Student Feedback Incentives - End Report form.

When will I know the outcome?

The Student Experience Strategic Management Group will consider new applications at its monthly meetings. It tries to respond to all applications within five working days of meeting.
