Discretionary Fund
UK Students who have financial difficulties can apply to the Discretionary Fund. This is a fund given to us by the government to assist both undergraduate and postgraduate students. We aim to give priority to certain groups of students:
Peter Carpenter Scholarship

For entrant undergraduate students whose degree intention is within the Faculty of Science or Medicine.
R&A Ransome Scholarship

For students from Canada, Mexico and the USA who are academically qualified, well-rounded students and who have demonstrated leadership skills.
St Leonards Masters Scholarship (UK students)

For prospective postgraduate taught students applying to a one-year masters programme commencing in 2024 at the University of St Andrews.
Rosemary Airey Scholarship

For entrant undergraduate students who are domiciled in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

The St Andrews Access Award was established to provide financial assistance with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews.
