Additional criteria
- Be a current postgraduate research student studying within the Department of Philosophy; full-time or part-time.
- Be in financial need.
- Have not received a university or UKRI-related stipend (that is, currently receiving a maintenance scholarship).
- Receive annual funding less than £18,622 from external sources.
Exemptions from these criteria will be considered only in exceptional and well-motivated circumstances.

This scholarship is available through the Philosophy SASP Financial Hardship application form. You can access this application through the Scholarships and funding catalogue in the Scholarships and Funding section in MySaint.
Scholarship application form guidance
The Department of Philosophy Postgraduate Committee will assess all applications and allocate awards to successful applicants based on the information provided. Students are required to enter their bank details via MySaint for any possible payment.
