Canada
For Canadian students, St Andrews offers the very highest standards of research-led teaching. With a student to staff ratio of 12:1, teaching takes place in an intimate, discussion-based environment. The four-year flexible degree structure also allows students to explore up to three subjects initially before specialising and focusing their studies at the end of their second year.
The beautiful location of St Andrews means that it is a great place to live as well as study, with a large variety of sports clubs, societies and traditions on offer. The historic links between Scotland and Canada make St Andrews a popular location for Canadian students wishing to study abroad.
In Medicine, the unique Scottish-Canadian Medical programme could be of particular interest. This programme is designed for Canadians who want to study abroad and then return to Canada to practice.
