First Chances Senior Phase
The First Chances Fife programme is currently undergoing a reevaluation and has not started for the 2024-2025 year. Please bear with us while we work on this. We will be in touch with an update as soon as we can.
First Chances Fife Senior Phase aims to support S4-S6 pupils with their aspirations towards higher education.
The S4 to S6 programme focuses on giving an insight into higher education along with support around applying to college or university.
Pupils in S4 to S6 express interest with their First Chances Fife teacher contact within their school and can also get in touch regarding joining the programme at first.chances@st-andrews.ac.uk.
The Senior Phase programme will include:
- Higher education subject taster sessions from Fife College and the University of St Andrews.
- Weekly study support sessions offered for National 5 and Higher subjects led by the University of St Andrews student ambassadors.
- Information and guidance sessions led by Admissions staff at the University of St Andrews.
Progression to subsequent years of the programme is subject to pupils completing all requisite participation requirements.
Pupils will receive weekly email reminders with a full event schedule for that term.
