Payment of University Scholarships

The University will process scholarships for fees and maintenance for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Tuition fee scholarships

Tuition fee scholarships will be automatically offset against your tuition fees.  You will see both your tuition fee and the award reflected on your financial statement.

Maintenance payments

Maintenance awards will be paid on the second last working day of each month directly into your nominated UK bank account by BACS.

Students must ensure that they are fully Registered, otherwise payment may be delayed.

Details of scheduled payments can be viewed on your financial statement.

New bank details and any amendments must be submitted online via MySaint - Under the tab "My Details and development" - "Student Finance" and "Manage my bank details for payments of scholarship and expenses". 

If you do not have a UK bank account and want your payment to be sent to your bank outside the UK, email details of account number/IBAN/Swift/BIC and Account Name to finschol@st-andrews.ac.uk. Foreign transfers may incur charges and can be impacted by exchange rate fluctuations. 

Student staying in University accommodation can choose to have their maintenance award directly allocated against their accommodation fees by choosing this option while completing matriculation or by emailing finschol@st-andrews.ac.uk.

Accommodation fee scholarships

Accommodation fee awards will be automatically offset against accommodation fees where you are staying in University accommodation.  You will see both your accommodation fee and award reflected on your financial statement.
