Chris Clarke
Mental Health Coordinator
Chris joined us in 2024 as one of the Mental Health Coordinators within Student Services, and has a range experience working in mental health services and supporting various populations.
He has an MSc in Clinical Health Psychology and has worked in the NHS in the Prison’s Psychological Therapies Service as an Assistant Psychologist. He worked independently and under the supervision of clinical psychologists with offenders focusing on trauma work and delivering safety and stabilisation.
In addition to this, Chris spent three years working in the third sector in family mediation with high conflict separation, and facilitated court ordered child contact whilst creating a safe and productive environment for developing healthy, lasting relationships.
He is keen to focus his range of expertise to support students to cope with personal and academic stress, manage their difficulties and achieve their goals.
Outside of work Chris is a keen cook, enjoys a range of sport including rugby and is a player and children’s coach for his local club.
