Your personal tax account
Use your personal tax account to check your records and manage your details with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) (PDF, 44 KB) .Pay grade history
The grade, pro rata spinal point with value and hourly rate can be viewed for each post you hold. In HR Self Service, click on your "Account" icon (your image at the top right) and select "View My Details". Then expand the Appointment History section and select the "i" icon next to the Pay Grade field. A pop-up window will appear detailing any changes to your grade. Use the expand arrows to view the spinal point value and hourly rate for each entry.
Aims and Services
Our team provides the pay and pensions services to the University. We are open to all enquiries and we welcome requests for advice.
We are based in the Walter Bower House, Eden Campus. Please contact us to discuss any of the above items or for advice on any pay or pensions issues. Our opening hours are from 8:45am to 5pm.
Our aims are to provide:
- an accurate and efficient service for monthly payrolls, working to strict deadlines.
- the administration for the University pension schemes.
- quality customer service through commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

salaries-absence@st-andrews.ac.uk - please use this account if you have a query about sickness absence and for submitting Part A and B self-certifications.
salaries-external@st-andrews.ac.uk - please use this account if you have a query regarding all non employees. e.g., Off Payroll.
ts-salaries@st-andrews.ac.uk - please use this account for submitting your timesheets, and queries regarding timesheets.
salaries-cc@st-andrews.ac.uk - please use this account for submitting flexible worker assignments along with nationality documents, and queries regarding flexible worker assignments.
