University of St Andrews and Oswaldo Cruz Foundation Memorandum of Understanding

Led by an initiative of Professor Christos Lynteris and Dr Matheus Alves Duarte da Silva (both at the Department of Social Anthropology) a five-year Memorandum of Understanding for International Cooperation has been signed between the University of St Andrews and Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), an institution on of the Brazilian Federal Government related to the Ministry of Health of Brazil, and the most important research centre for epidemiology and public health in South America.

The aim of the MoU is to foster exchange and cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of teaching, research, technological development, communication, information, management and policy in the area of health.
