For maintenance and repair issues

Contact the Duty Manager either in person by phone on extension 7000 or by email at agnes.blackadder@st-andrews.ac.uk.

During evenings or weekends, if the problem is urgent, contact the Duty Porter on extension 3344 or the Duty Warden on extension 7019.

For personal matters

The Duty Warden can be contacted to discuss a personal matter, make a noise complaint, or in regards to an urgent repair to your room or building, or just for a chat:

If it’s something urgent, the Duty Manager will be happy to help. Phone extension 7000 or email agnes.blackadder@st-andrews.ac.uk and they will contact the Warden on your behalf.

Security and Response team

In addition to the hall specific arrangements, the University Security and Response team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to deal with security incidents and provide emergency support.

You can contact the security team on extension 8999 or by calling +44 (0)1334 46 8999.

Emergency services

For the police, the fire brigade or an ambulance: dial 999 from your mobile or 9 999 from a University phone, then inform the Duty Manager or the Duty Warden.

NHS 24: call 111 from your mobile phone or dial 1045 from a University phone.

Meal times

Meals are served at the following times for those on a catered contract:

Monday to Friday

  • Breakfast: 8am to 9.30am
  • Lunch: 12 noon to 1.30pm
  • Dinner: 5.30pm to 7pm

Saturday and Sunday

  • Breakfast: 8am to 10am
  • Lunch: 12 noon to 1.30pm
