Services
This page provides information on cleaning services, laundry facilities, mail and heating during your stay in University halls of residence.
-
Cleaning services depend on the type of contract and hall of residence you are in. Find out more about cleaning your student accommodation.
-
You are responsible for your personal laundry, including your bedding.
Each hall has laundry facilities available for students to use. Please do not leave your washing in the washing machines or tumble driers when you have finished, as this will prevent others from using them.
Do not hang up wet washing in your bedroom, corridor, or kitchen area. This damages the fabric of the building and creates condensation and dampness, causing an unhealthy atmosphere to sleep in. You will be liable for any damages caused to the building as a result.
See individual hall pages for information about laundry facilities in your residence.
-
In many halls, you can collect mail and unregistered parcels from designated areas in your residence. For registered parcels, your residence team will send you an email when your parcel arrives with details for collection. Due to import duty and VAT, all personal parcels must be marked 'Personal'.
Please check with your residence for guidance on the mail delivery and collection system.
